Tell It to My Heart is a song by Taylor Dayne from 1987, which was written by Seth Swirsky and Ernie gold. It was released in the same album.

History

Originally the song by Warner Music Group should be published, but since it was not suitable for the label from Swirskys view, consulted one another label. As the songwriter a series of demos of Taylor Dayne listened, they took the original on with her and by sending a copy of the demos, Dayne got from Clive Davis signed a contract with Arista Records. The recordings took place in Glen Cove, New York in the Cove City Sound Studios.

The publication took place on 6 November 1987 in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands the dance song was a number -one hit. 1988 nominated to the song for the Grammy Awards in the category Best Female Vocal Performance - Pop ( Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female), but lost to the Whitney Houston classic I Wanna Dance with Somebody ( Who Loves Me).

Music Video

For the music video a very low budget was invested and the plot is very simple - Taylor Dayne dancing with two background dancers dressed in black against a white background.
