Teodora Ruano

Maria Teodora Adoracion " Dori " Ruano Sanchón ( born January 11, 1969 in Villamayor de Armuña, Salamanca ) is a former Spanish cyclist.

Dori Ruano was a very versatile cyclist. In 1992 she had her first major success with a third place in the " Emakumeen Bira ", an annually discharged in the Basque Country women's race category 2.1; In 1996 she won the overall standings of the race itself.

1995 Ruano Spanish champion was in the time trial on the road. In the following years she was able to repeatedly occupy podium with Spanish road championships; In 1997 she was also vice-world champion in the points race.

1998 Teodora Ruano Sanchón world champion in the points race and again Spanish champion in the time trial on the road; 1999, 2003 and 2004, she gained more times the national title in this discipline. In 2001, she won both Spanish titles on the road and was third at the Road World Championships in the time trial.

Teodora Ruano Sanchón took three times at the Olympics in part, in Barcelona in 1992 at the road race, but to prove in Sydney in 2000 on the points race and the 500 -meter time trial in Athens in 2004 at the time trial and the road race without a front seat.

2005 Teodor Ruano Sanchón resigned from active cycling. She is a sports teacher and worked as a trainer. She is also a councilor in Salamanca as a member of the Socialist Workers Party of Spain PSOE.
