Terret (grape)

Terret is a vine - family whose members is one of the oldest varieties in the Languedoc in southern France. They form spontaneously numerous mutations in different colors, which are often found together on a vine and sometimes even on a grape. Thus one finds, for example, a cluster together white and red berries.

Within the family Terret the game types Terret Blanc, Terret Gris and Terret Noir made ​​from. These three varieties show in France for about 3600 hectares of vineyards.

Terret game species are susceptible to powdery mildew and downy mildew. They mature late and give pronounced acidity, light wines.
