Tetín (Jičín District)

Tetín ( German Tetin ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 kilometers west of Dvůr Králové nad Labem and belongs to Okres Jičín.

Geography

Tetín is hřbet between the valleys of the rivers Bystřice and Dubovec at the southwestern foot of the ridge Zvičinský. To the northwest rises the mountain Dubovec (434 m) in the north and the Skalka (412 m).

Neighboring towns are Vřesník and Bezník in the north, Borek and Želejov in the northeast, VIDON in the east, Koleja, Vlkanov and Miletínek the southeast, Dobeš in the south, Paseky and Czernin to the southwest, Dolni Nová Ves and Lázně BElohrad in the west and Brdík and Brtev in the northwest.

History

The first mention of Tetín took place in 1543.

After the abolition of patrimonial Tetín formed in 1850 with the districts VIDON and Vlkanov a municipality in the district of Hradec Králové and 1900 in the district of Nová Paka. 1921 Vlkanov lost the status of a hamlet. In the 1930s, the community came to Okres Hořice and 1961 Okres Jičín. Tetín was incorporated into Miletín on 30 April 1976. Since 24 November 1990, the community is again.

The municipality consists of the villages Tetín Tetín ( Tetin ) and VIDON ( Widon ) and the settlements Falgon, Koleje and Vlkanov.
