The Texas Stadium was a stadium in Irving, Texas, a suburb of Dallas. It served from 1971 to 2008 as the venue for the NFL games of the Dallas Cowboys.

The stadium was built to replace the old Cotton Bowl Stadium. It was planned to complete roof over the stadium. Because the stadium but the load of the whole roof could not bear and the public funding ran out before the supporting structure could be modified, only the majority of seats was covered, but not the pitch. This in the United States rather unusual design caused the linebacker DD Lewis to his famous remark that its object the hole in the roof, " that God can watch his team ."

In the 2009 NFL season, the Cowboys moved into the newly built Cowboys Stadium in Arlington. The first home game in the new stadium took place in September 2009. On the morning of April 11, 2010, the old home of the Dallas Cowboys was blown up.
