Texte zur Kunst ( ITC) is a German art magazine.

Texts about Art was founded in Cologne in 1990 and was published in Berlin since 2000. The journal is published quarterly in a 5000 edition. The magazine was founded by Isabelle Graw, which is the sole issuer and manager of the magazine since the death of co-founder Stefan Germer in 1998.

Content

The publication of texts on art in the relatively small size of 166 x 230 mm and a capacity of about 300 pages published challenging articles on contemporary art and culture. The appearing on thematic issues titles include German and English essays, interviews, discussions and meetings in which contemporary art, film and music, but also fashion and design are discussed. In basic essays in art history questions and topics to socio-political theory and cultural policy are discussed. The main topics of texts on art lie in the areas of institutional critique, feminism, media criticism and theory of subjectivity.

Art editions

Each edition provides texts to art special art editions of works by contemporary artists, which can be purchased directly from the magazine.

Editing

The editorial board consists of Philipp Ekardt ( resp.) and Hanna Magauer. In the editorial committee of the journal sit Sven Beckstette, Sabeth Buchmann, Diedrich Diederichsen, Helmut Draxler, Jutta Koether, Clemens crumbs, Susanne Leeb, Dirk von Lowtzow, Juliane vines table, André Rottmann, Beate Söntgen, Gregor Stemmrich, Astrid Wege.

Exhibition

In the Berlin exhibition halls of the collection Haubrok all artists' editions of the magazine from the previous 20 years were shown in 2010.
