Dirk von Lowtzow

Dirk von Lowtzow [lo ː tso ː ] ( born March 21, 1971 in Offenburg ) is a singer and guitarist of the German rock band Tocotronic. Since 2001 he also published together with Thies Mynther (Stella, Super Punk, ... ) music under the name Phantom / Ghost. He also borrowed pieces of Sharon Stoned, Justus Köhncke, Tilman Rossmy and DJ Koze his voice.

Published in 2003 by Dirk Lowtzow for German Grammophon audiobook HP Lovecraft: Pickman 's Model; Music of Erich Zann.

For the SWR2 feature The Secret of borrowed money - Investigation into the German national debt of Jens Jarisch he took the part of the speaker. The sent on 13 March 2007 post also includes music by Tocotronic. In 2007 he published his book Decade at the Buchholz Gallery. It contains a selection of Tocotronic texts, photos of the band as well as images of artist friends. The edition was 800 copies. Dirk von Lowtzow is a member of the advisory board of the journal Texte zur Kunst, for which he is also active as an author.
