Thalassia (queen)

Thalassia was the wife of the King of Charakene Hyspaosines. It is made of cuneiform texts ( in the astronomical diaries from Babylon) and a Greek inscription, which was found to Bahrain, known. The name of Thalassia is a rarely occupied Greek woman's name. From the cuneiform texts in which it is called Talasi'asu, we learn that she tried to put after the death of her husband on June 11, 124 BC, her son on the throne of Charakene. The name of her son is not received, maybe it was but Apodakos, which is attested as his successor. The inscription of Bahrain calls along with Hyspaosines and confirms the cuneiform text. Here her name is in Greek form.
