Black, the black flash is a family series in 78 episodes that were produced between 1990 and 1993 in three seasons. It is based on the book by Walter Farley youth entitled flash the black stallion and then occurs very freely with the content around, perhaps in the form that only some of the characters are taken on the basis of which their own stories were developed.

Action

The 17 year old jockey Alec Ramsey draws with his trainer Henry Dailey and his best friend the Black Arabian Stallion from tournament to tournament, and experienced on his travels different adventure.

Background

The series, which was filmed in France, Canada and New Zealand, was inspired by the two 1979 and 1983 turned movies The Black Stallion and The Black Stallion Returns, in which Kelly Reno Alec Ramsey had embodied. However, this time this was not intended for the part because he was too old at age 24, and he could not accept the role for personal reasons.

Still remained the series whose scene image and screenplays partly strongly reminiscent of "Knight Rider", the expectations of the fans.

Although Richard Ian Cox was known with this role, and he was nominated for the Young Artist Award in the course of three years three times (once he received the award ) remained nevertheless the Oscar -nominated Mickey Rooney and the Black Stars of the series. Mickey Rooney, who in the two feature films embodied the role of the ex- jockey and trainer Henry Dailey, was nominated in 1992 for his dramatic leading role in the Gemini Awards.
