The Beloved

The Beloved was a British music group. Originally founded as a psychedelic rock band, the group turned in the late 1980s under the influence of the British rave scene to the electronic music and published in the 1990s, several commercially successful singles, adapted the elements of techno.

Band History

John Marsh (vocals, guitar ), Guy Gousden (drums) and Tim Harvard ( electric bass) founded in 1983 at Cambridge University, the group Journey Through. A year later, with the studied mathematician Steve Waddington added a second guitarist and the band changed its name to The Beloved. The quartet founded under the name Flim Flam her own record label and released several singles until 1987, resulting in the UK Independent Charts were able to place, but the official UK Singles Chart not reached. With the 1987 album Where It Is The Beloved achieved a moderate success, which led to a recording contract with WEA Records.
