The Calico Dragon

In the land of stuffed animals is an American animated short film directed by Rudolf Ising from the year 1935.

Action

A little girl reading to her stuffed animals at night the story of the princess before, which is guarded by a dragon and longs for a savior. After the girl is asleep, get a toy knight, a cuddly toy horse and a stuffed dog on the way to rescue the princess.

After a few minor incidents - including the dog comes with a toy rabbit to one another - meets the trio to the Galico dragon, a three-headed monster fabric. Although the knight seems inferior to the horse first, it is possible the dog to be devoured by the dragon, and out climb through a patch on the back part out of the dragon. He has also stolen from him his dragon's tongue, which turns out to be blowouts.

The kite collapses and the entire landscape turns into a heaving surface. Knight, horse and dog suddenly find themselves on the bedspread of the girl again sleeping restless after the exciting bedtime story. Suddenly, it wakes up and is happy that she had only a bad dream. When the curtains are moved by the wind, it still hides fearfully under the covers.

Production

In the Land of Stuffed Animals was released on March 30, 1935 as part of the MGM cartoon series Happy Harmonies.
