The Coronas

The Coronas is a four-piece Irish indie rock alternative band from Terenure, Dublin.

History

The band was founded under the name " Kiros " when the members were 15 years old, but three years later (after a typewriter brand ) in "Corona" renamed. When the Italian dance act Corona shows up, the band changed its name to " The Coronas ".

The first album Heroes or Ghosts was published in October 2007, and came into the Irish charts at number 24, the second album Tony Was An Ex-Con was released on 25 September 2009, and reached # 3 It won the 2010 Meteor Award for the best album before U2 and Snow Patrol. In 2011, the band released their third studio album Closer to You, which was produced by Tony Hoffer, with, for example, The Kooks you can clearly listen the work of the album.
