The Guitar (film)

The Guitar is an American film drama from the year 2008. Directed by Amy Redford, screenplay by Amos Poe.

Action

Melody Wilder loses one day their job and gets dumped by her boyfriend. She learns the same day of her doctor, Dr. Murray, that she is ill with cancer and can not be operated on. You stay about one month to live.

Wilder rented a large apartment, buying expensive furniture, befriends with the employees of the supplier firms Roscoe Wasz and cookie. She spends a lot of time playing on the guitar, she wanted as a child.

Reviews

Duane Byrge wrote in the magazine The Hollywood Reporter 21 January 2008, the script show "psychological wisdom ", but it suffers from narrative weaknesses. Amy Redford's directing was " plenty of witty " and it enables the film to appeal to viewers of mainstream movies. The "smart modulated " representation of Saffron Burrows to win the hearts of viewers.

Justin Chang wrote in the journal Variety January 19, 2008, which the film debuting as a director Amy Redford was " inconsistent ", but " occasionally charming ." The " delicate " representation of Saffron Burrows 'm adding to the charm of the film.

Background

The film was shot in New York City. Its world premiere took place on 18 January 2008 at the Sundance Film Festival, where some other film festivals such as the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary in July 2008 followed. On 7 November 2008, the film came in the selected cinemas in the United States.
