The Heart of Me

The Heart of Me is a costume drama directed by Thaddeus O'Sullivan in 2002, with Helena Bonham Carter, Olivia Williams and Paul Bettany in the lead roles. The film is based on the novel The Echoing Grove ( The Buried day) by Rosamond Lehmann and premiered at the Toronto Film Festival on September 6, 2002.

Action

1934, after the death of her father invites the decent and uptight housewife Madeleine their idiosyncratic sister Dinah to her house and her husband, Rickie, the chic London home. The couple has a son named Anthony. Madeleine has always been envious of Dinah, an unconventional painter, which often causes despair in her conservative sister, and mother.
