The Hire: Beat the Devil

Beat the Devil is a part of the short film series The Hire by Tony Scott, who was commissioned by BMW in 2002 as an advertising film.

Action

James Brown has sold as a young man his soul to the devil to be the Godfather of Soul. Now that he has grown old, would like to negotiate over again his contract. The devil offers to him to make him young again, if he drives a race with him. James Brown's driver ( Clive Owen ) wins in a BMW Z4 the race through Las Vegas, while the car of the devil is stopped by a crossing train and explodes. Then the devil James Brown fulfilled his wish.

Production and publication

The short film was produced in 2002 by RSA Films directed by Tony Scott. The music by Harry Gregson- Williams. BMW Films drove the film from November 21, 2002 worldwide on DVD.

The film was nominated in the category Best Internet Video Premiere at the DVD Premiere Awards 2003.
