The Honeymooners

The Honeymooners (English for honeymooners ) was an American comedy sketch show of the 1950s.

The show played fifteen years after the Great Depression in Brooklyn, New York, at 328 Chauncey Street, Bensonhurst. In a rented house there live the friendly couples who Kramdens and the Nortons. Ralph Kramden, a bus driver, and his wife Alice and their friends and neighbors Edward L. Norton, a sewer worker, and his wife Thelma Trixie reflected in short, sketch -like effects through life.

The Honeymooners ran in 1951 as a sketch series within the DuMont Television Network Cavalcade of Stars show and 1952 with the main characters of Ralph Kramden, Jackie Gleason, The Jackie Gleason Show in CBS. The series is considered the forerunner of The Flintstones ( The Flintstones ) and is often quoted and parodied, such as in The Simpsons, Family Guy and in King of Queens. On the basis of the series, released in 2005 comedy film Honeymooners with Cedric the Entertainer, Mike Epps, Gabrielle Union and Regina Hall was filmed.
