The Horny Horns

Fred Wesley & The Horny Horns were a fan of trombonist Fred Wesley team, saxophonist Maceo Parker and the trumpeters Rick Gardner and Richard Griffith.

Band History

Wesley and Parker had worked with James Brown in the 1960s. In the 1970s, she first played as the Horny Horns for Parliament / Funkadelic and Bootsy 's Rubber Band. George S. Clinton in 1977 produced the first album of the group, A Blow for Me, A Toot for You, which was released by Atlantic Records. The second album, Say Blow by Blow Backwards, Wesley 1979 produced along with Clinton and Collins. However, both albums were commercially not very successful. Appeared in 1995 then later a compilation of previously unreleased tracks called The Final Blow.
