Criticism

" Thrilling Adventure, which runs the clichés of the genre into its opposite and developed the almost agonizingly slow progression of evil without any romanticism. In the confrontation of the main characters of the film superbly photographed more reminiscent of the enigmatic novels as Herman Melville's fantastic to Jules Verne's stories. Drastic cuts have eliminated some atrocities, but also rob the film much of its meaning and the narrative rhythm. "
