The Mad Magazine Card Game

The MAD- card game is a Uno-/Mau-Mau-ähnliches satirical card game by Parker Brothers, which is inspired by the comics of MAD magazine.

It appeared in 1979 in the United States as Mad Magazine Card Game and 1980 in Germany and other countries (eg the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland). In the box is the portrait of Alfred E. Neumann, the cover boy of MAD magazine, pictured.

The paper consists of four colors ( red sweater series, the green leisure series, the Blue Knight series and the yellow space series) which are numbered from 1 to 6 and also special cards ( change of direction; pulling for you, one you wicked servant; Give someone two cards ( from your hand ) ) included. The motifs on the cards show each color each Alfred E. Neumann in a different situation that worsens with increasing card value. There are also colorless to great! Cards that allow a choice of color, combined with some other function ( Swap your cards (with whoever you want ) to Toll & woolly, the self-defense card and the Joker ). The card game also contained some blank cards, which are not included loud game instructions to play. From this you can for example make your own custom maps.

The rules for 2-6 players are a mixture of luck and strategy, they are borrowed mainly from Mau Mau, parodies and supplemented with new special cards. Aim of the game it is noisy packaging label, " ... your cards first to get rid of, but not your mind." The recommended minimum age is 8 years.

The MAD- card game is no longer produced today, but there were at least two editions.
