The Magician 's Birthday is the fifth studio album by British rock band Uriah Heep. The album was released after only six months after the publication of the previous album Demons and Wizards in November 1972. Like the previous album was recorded this album between tours in the U.S. and Europe, in a commercially successful time for the band. The album cover was designed by artist Roger Dean.
