The Nephew

The Nephew ( Original title: The Nephew ) is an Irish film drama from 1998, which was set up by writer and director Eugene Brady in scene.

The self-reliant Tony Egan farmed with his assistant Patsy a farm on the island of Ireland Inis Dara. One day he receives a letter from his sister Karen, who fled to the United States 20 years ago in the case before her brother. In the letter she wrote on her deathbed, she announces to him the arrival of her 17- year-old son Chad Egan - Washington.

When Tony his nephew Chad, who carries his mother Karen, the ash in the luggage, pick up from the ferry, he finds to his initial dismay that Chad is a person of color. At the funeral for a deceased neighbor Chad learns the young Aislin Brady know. That's the daughter of the local bar owner Joe Brady, who twenty years ago had a relationship with Karen. Tony Egan and Joe Brady are enemies and forbid Chad and Aislin dealing with each other. Secretly shows Aislin Chad the island of Inis Dara. It comes as it had come: Chad and Aislin fall in love. This is met with Peter O'Boyce on the head, a friend of Aislin. Peter is the son of Brenda O'Boyce, which was the closest friend of Karen earlier. Chad gets into argument with Tony and decides to leave with the urn of his mother's island. Aislin wants to elope with him, which Chad dissuade her, however. On the morning of departure Chad meets Joe Brady and handed him twenty -year-old letters from his mother Karen at him, which Tony had embezzled and proved that Karen then contact to Joe wanted. Joe is Tony to task and makes him the accusation that he is now just as pastimes Chad as it did his mother. Brenda, who loves Tony still conjures to prevent this that Chad Inis Dara leaves. With Joe Brady's help, Tony arrives in time to the ferry and tried Chad sincerely to move to stay. Finally, Chad agrees. Locations
