The New Cities

The New Cities is a Canadian founded in 2005 Electronica / Synthpop / rock band from Montréal.

Band History

The New Cities formed in 2005 by vocalist David Brown. The remaining members are Christian Bergeron ( electric guitar ), Julien Martre (bass, background vocals), Nicolas Denis (synthesizer ), Philippe Lachance ( synthesizer), and Francis Fugère (drums). After a self-produced extended play in 2007, the band signed a contract with Sony Music. In 2009 the band released their debut album, Lost in the City Lights with the singles Dead End Countdown and Leaders of the Misled. The album was produced by Greig Nori ( Sum 41 ) and Aex McMahon. 2011 was followed by Kill the Lights, which by the band and Blake Healy (ex -Metro Station) was produced.

Music style

The New Cities is an electro punk band with strong influences from pop music. The music is similar to the metro station and Forever the Sickest Kids.
