The " Pretty Little Lightning Paw " E. P. is an EP of the Canadian post-rock band Thee Silver Mountain Reveries, which was released in May 2004 Constellation Records.
Survey
The name, which the band chose for this EP, is very different from the name, it has otherwise. However, this name was chosen only very briefly - already the next album they called again Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra and Tra -La -La Band with Choir.
Many of the band members swap instruments for this EP. Sophie Trudeau, for example, usually plays violin, plays bass guitar, however. Ian Illavsky, actually one of the guitarists, plays drums.
When the EP was recorded, it was played on a radio recorder and it once again recorded. This results in the very raw sound of the plate.
On the song " There's a River in the Valley Made of Melting Snow " the Hebrew line " baruch atta adonai " ( ברוך אתה אדוני ) " Bless the Lord " means.
Reviews
The website allmusic awarded the plate three out of five stars. Brian Howe from the Internet magazine Pitchfork Media awarded the plate 7.6 out of 10 points and writes: "I do not know what the Silver Mountain Reveries have for the next plate in stock, but I think with this one they are on the right track. " He also wrote that the song More Action! Less Tears! " Perfect post-rock in an ideal world would be.
