The Pretty Reckless

The Pretty Reckless is an alternative rock band from New York that was founded by the American actress and model Taylor Momsen. Originally the band "The Reckless ", should read, but it was renamed because of trademark issues in " The Pretty Reckless ".

History

The band was formed in New York by Taylor Momsen founded along with John Secolo, Matt Chiarelli and Nick Carbone 2009. In 2009, she appeared as the opening act of The Veronicas on their North American tour. Currently, Taylor Momsen is the only member of the original cast. She works at the moment with Ben Philips (guitar ), Mark Damon ( bass), Jamie Perkins (drums), all of which are members of the rock band Famous, together. They signed a contract with Interscope Records and had actually intended to release their first album in the fall of 2009. However, for unknown reasons it did not happen.

On December 30, published in 2009 The Pretty Reckless instead a promo song called "Make Me Wanna Die ". This was initially available for a limited time on the Interscope site as a free download, appeared in the episode, however, on the soundtrack to the film Kick-Ass, and was published on 16 May 2010 as the first single of the band in the UK. The title immediately reached in the first week of the peak position of the UK Rock & Metal Singles Top 40 and space 16 in the UK Top 40 singles chart.

The first EP of the band appeared on 22 June 2010 and the entire album was released on August 30 in the United Kingdom and on 31 August 2010 in Germany.

During the existence of the band appeared again and again on demo tapes, including " Blender ", " He Loves You" and " Zombie".

In autumn 2011, they toured with Evanescence, inter alia through the United Kingdom and Germany.
