Reviews

"The Sapphires, an imperfect in a sympathetic way movie, [ ... ] is not ashamed to be a remake of Dreamgirls. However, the Sapphires have a bonus: It's not about the world famous Supremes, but a now largely forgotten group of Aboriginal girls in Australia. The theme expands thus of the story of a musical career to the social situation of Aboriginal people in the 1960s and 70s. "
