The time Knights - In Search of the Sacred Tooth is the sequel of the successful French fantasy - comedy The visitors, once again directed by Jean -Marie perry. In contrast to its predecessor ($ 100 million box office) played this movie worldwide only about a quarter as much.

Action

After Godefroy de Papincourt, Count of Montmirail, is again traveled back to his own time, he meets in place of his squires Jacquouille la Fripouille at its descendant Jacquard, who is tortured by the Inquisition. At the same moment are also the jewels of the Duke of Fulbert Pouille in which the tooth of the Blessed Rolande is incorporated ( a fertility relic ) disappeared, which Jacquouille had taken and hidden the then dead Duke in the first part. Unfortunately, he had taken these jewels in the presence per se and the time locks were no longer so close. Meanwhile, attempts Béatrice de Montmirail Jacquouille and Ginette la clocharde ( from which it thinks it comes also from the Middle Ages ) to convey in their time. They cause a lot of chaos, in which nearly burns down the house and through a mishap ends up even Béatrices husband Jean -Pierre together with Jacquouille in the Middle Ages. Godefroy, Jean -Pierre, Jacquouille and its descendant are returning to our present and try to find the jewels of the Duke, who has now stolen Ginette and this will move at a jeweler. This informs Cora de Montmirail ( the ex-wife of Cousin Hubert ) about the loss of jewels. Cora and her daughter Philippine keep Godefroy for Cousin Hubert and Philippine asks him to stay until her marriage. With a heavy heart Godefroy agrees to this request. After the wedding, Godefroy and Jacquouille travel back through time, but instead of in the middle ages they find themselves at the time of the French Revolution again, as Béatrice orange liqueur had done in the potion.

Criticism

The sequel to the visitor comes to the level and the wit of the first part is just sparse. Disturbing is the reshuffle of the double role of Frénégonde de Pouille or Béatrice de Montmirail by Muriel Robin and the partial change of name.

" The imagined as a continuation of the film is not much more than a high -powered technical trick effort repetition, which provides a forum for leading man naively bumbling attacks. Many of the computer- generated special effects depend content in the air and can be explained only in terms of the American film market. "
