Thelma Coyne Long

Thelma Dorothy Long, born Thelma Coyne ( born October 14, 1918 in Sydney ) is a former Australian tennis player.

Career

She won the title in 1952 and 1954 women's singles at the Australian Tennis Championships (now the Australian Open ). Overall, she won a slam competitions at 19 Grand. In addition to the two individual titles they won 12 times in double and 4 times in the Mixed yet at the Australian Championships. In addition, she won at the French Championships in 1956 in doubles.

In 1941, she married in Melbourne Maurice Newton Long.

In 2013 she was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
