Thermoscope

In a thermoscope is to represent historical equipment for temperature display, which are not calibrated and as a result, not a full thermometer usually. However, it can be used as the thermometer, the same measurement method, wherein the display only allows the display Termperaturentwicklung, but not a real measurement of temperature.

The first Thermoskope were developed in the 16th century and served as the basis for the development of thermometry and thermodynamics. One example is the von Guericke in 1660, designed by Otto Magdeburg thermometer.
