Thomas Andrew Knight

Thomas Andrew Knight ( born August 12, 1759 in Ludlow, † May 11 1838 in London) was a British botanist.

Knight studied at Balliol College, Oxford University. Previously, he had been operated private studies of New Varieties of Plants. From 1795 he was associated with the botanist Joseph Banks. From 1799 to 1823 he led intersections through to peas. He also scored findings in the field of Geotrophie. He also sought to improve the yields of crops and farm animals by advocating scientific breeding methods.

From 1811 to 1838 he was President of the London Horticultural Society.
