Thomas De Gendt

Thomas De Gendt ( born November 6, 1986 in Sint -Niklaas ) is a Belgian racing cyclist.

Thomas De Gendt began his career in 2006 with the Continental team Unibet Davo. In his first season he finished third in the Grand Prix Joseph Bruyère. 2007, divided the team and De Gendt rode for Davo. In Thuringia Tour he celebrated his first success. He was also third overall in the Tour de Liège and won a part of the Tour de Namur and the Stadsprijs Geraardsbergen. 2011 joined de Gendt for ProTeam Vacansoleil - DCM. In that year he also won his first ProTour race, a stage in Paris - Nice. He succeeded also in 2012. During the Giro d' Italia 2012, he won the queen stage with summit finish on the Stelvio and the third place in the overall standings.
