Thomas Dowd (bishop)

Thomas Dowd ( born September 11, 1970 in Montreal ) is a Canadian priest and auxiliary bishop in Montreal.

Life

Thomas Dowd received on 7 December 2001, the ordination. Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on July 11, 2011 titular bishop of Treba and Auxiliary Bishop of Montréal.

The Archbishop of Montreal, Cardinal Jean- Claude Turcotte, gave him on 10 September of the same year the episcopal ordination; Were co-consecrators Lionel Gendron PSS, Bishop of Saint -Jean- Longueuil, and André Gazaille, Bishop of Nicolet. As a motto he chose Cor et Anima Una.
