Thomas Endres

Thomas Endres ( born September 12, 1969 in Würzburg ) is a former German fencer who in 1988 won an Olympic silver medal in the foil team.

Thomas Endres from FC Tauberbischofsheim 1988 won four German league titles. Both in the age group of juniors as well as in the active class he won the foil in the individual competition and the Tauberbischofsheimer team. To this end, the European Cup came to the club and second place at the Junior World Cup in the United States. With his success, he also qualified for the Olympic team. When Olympic fencing tournament in Seoul, he fought together with Matthias Behr, Mathias Gey, Ulrich fright and Thorsten Weidner to the Olympic finals, where the German team defeated the Soviet team. The following year, once again reached the final at the World Fencing Championship in 1989 in Denver Thorsten Weidner, Mathias Gey, Thomas Endres and Alexander Koch.
