Thomas Joseph Grady

Thomas Joseph Grady ( born October 9, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois, USA; † 21 April 2002) was Roman Catholic bishop of Orlando.

Life

Thomas Joseph Grady received on 23 April 1938, the Archbishop of Chicago, George William Cardinal Mundelein, the ordination.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on 21 June 1967 Titular Bishop of Vamalla and auxiliary bishop in Chicago. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal John Patrick Cody, on 24 August of the same year; Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Madison, Cletus O'Donnell, and Auxiliary Bishop John Aloysius Wycislo from Chicago.

On November 11, 1974, he was appointed Bishop of Orlando and introduced into the office on 16 December of the same year. On December 12, 1989 Pope John Paul II accepted his pre- mounted resignation for reasons of age.
