Thomas Müller-Pering

Thomas Müller- Pering ( born April 22, 1958 in Cologne ) is a German guitarist.

Life and career

From 1975 to 1980 he studied with Tadashi Sasaki at the Musikhochschule in Cologne, Aachen department. At the same time, he participated in numerous master classes with Siegfried Behrend, Jose Tomas, Oscar Ghiglia and John Williams.

Between 1980 and 1998 he was a lecturer at the Aachen University of Music. Since then, Thomas Müller- Pering are even many master classes at home and abroad. From 1994 to 1997 he held a visiting professor at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar. 1997, the appointment would come to the Professor at the same university called in Weimar. He currently holds a visiting professorship at the University of Arts Berlin. He represents Martin Rennert. He has toured abroad in Europe, to North and South America, Cuba and North Africa.

In addition to solo performances, and publications he has devoted himself to chamber music and occurs in various occupations, in recent years, especially in a duo with flutist, Wally Hase and violinist Friedemann Eichhorn. In 1991, he was the duo partner of Manuel Barrueco at the CD recording of the " Danzas Españolas " by Enrique Granados for the label EMI. From 2003 to 2005 he was a member of the now-defunct World Guitar Ensemble, he is since 2007 a ​​member of the United Guitar Ensemble and since 2004 of the Quartetto MaGiCo.
