Thorsten Becker

Thorsten Becker (born 13 May 1980) is a German football player.

Career

As a youth player, he moved in 1992 vo Fortuna snakes in the junior section of the TuS Paderborn -Neuhaus. Becker went through all the youth teams and played since the 2001/ 02 season in the first team of Paderborn. With the club, in the meantime renamed to SC Paderborn 07, the learned defender 2004/ 05 increased after the Regionalliga season as a point equal in second behind the champion Eintracht Braunschweig in the 2nd Bundesliga on. Another highlight of his career was the first knockout round of the DFB Cup 2004/ 05, which was overshadowed by the betting scandal involving referee Robert Hoyzer.

In his first second-division season Thorsten Becker denied for SC Paderborn first ten games when he got stuck with a shoe in the lawn during training in November 2005 and possibly sustain a torn ACL. Since then, he could not deny a competitive match for the SCP. After about ten month break, he made ​​his comeback in friendlies, only to suffer a serious knee injury again in November 2006. In January 2011 Thorsten Becker returned to his youth and native FC Fortuna snakes in the county league A back. Since the summer of 2011, he is the coach of the first team of FC Fortuna.
