Three Rivers is a defined and used for statistical settlement area ( census-designated place ) in Tulare County in the U.S. state of California with 2248 inhabitants ( 2000). The geographic coordinates are: 36.27 ° N, 118.53 ° West. The settlement area has a size of 117.5 km ².

Three Rivers is located in the foothills of the central Sierra Nevada, approximately 30 miles ( 48 km) north-east of Visalia and 60 miles (96 km ) southeast of Fresno. The nearest village is Lemon Cove about 10 miles (16 km) west. The site extends to several miles along California State Route 198

At the eastern end is the south entrance to Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks, which are the largest trees in the world among others, the General Sherman Tree and the General Grant Tree. Tourism is an important economic factor of the place. To the west of Three Rivers is the Lake Kaweah a recreation area.
