Tibet University for Nationalities

The Tibetan Nationalities University (Chinese: Xizang Minzu Xueyuan西藏 民族 学院;. Engl Tibet Institute for Nationalities ), isolated also called Tibetan College for Nationalities or Tibetan Institute for Nationalities, was the first university in Tibet. Its main campus is located in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province; a former branch was located in Nyingchi. 1978 was passed by the government of the Tibet Autonomous Region, not to lay the Tibetan Nationalities University to Tibet.

The university was founded in 1958 Tibet Public School opened as ( Xizang gongxue西藏 公 学); In 1965 she was given its present name.
