Tierser Tal

The Tiers valley, named after its main town, the animal is a side valley of the lower Eisacktal in South Tyrol (Italy).

From the entrance to the valley at Blumau ( a village about 10 km from Bolzano ) to get a 5 km long, only sparsely populated part of the valley to the village of slurries, as Halbweg referred ( to Tiers ). About the now following very steep section leads to Tiers and from there to the Niger pass that leads to the Val d'Ega.

The valley of Tiers from Braibach, also called Tierser Bach is drained. This has a length of 15.2 km and a catchment area of 63 km ². The main rock types are porphyry and dolomite.

Politically, the bottom portion from paps is a member of the animal from slurries to Blumau part of the right side to Fiè, the left side, however, the municipality Karneid.
