Ties Kruize

Ties Kruize ( born November 17, 1952 in The Hague ) is a former Dutch hockey player.

Kruize comes from a family of hockey players. His father was a well known player Roepie Kruize and his brothers Hans and Jan Hidde play hockey at the highest level.

Kruize won with his club HC Klein Zwitserland 1977-1984 eight times in a row, the Dutch National Championship, and twice, in 1979 and 1981, the European Cup of Champions. With the Dutch national hockey team Kruize was 1973 World Champion and 1983 European Champion. 1981 and 1982 he won with it the Champions Trophy. Especially in penalty corners he was regarded as a guarantee for Torerfolge.
