Till Helmke

Till Helmke ( born May 6, 1984 in Friedberg ( Hessen) ) is a retired German sprinter who was inducted into the Athletics team both in individual events as well as in the 4 x 100 - meter relay.

Life

At the Junior European Championships 2003 Helmke won silver in the 100 meters and with the relay and bronze over 200 meters. In 2004 he was nominated for the Olympic Games in Athens. About 200 meters he reached the intermediate run, with the season he retired from the lead. In 2005 he won Season Silver at the U23 European Championships and finished at the Universiade in fourth place over 200 meters. In 2007 he was with the third season in the European Cup. In German Championships Helmke often took second and third places, with both his club season and alone.

Helmke was part of the squadron squad for the 2008 Olympics, where he finished fifth in the Olympic final with the German relay. With his personal best of 20.37 s over 200 meters, it stands in seventh place in the all German leaderboard (as of September 2012). In 2012, he finished his career.

Till Helmke is 1,83 m tall and weighed about 80 kg competition times. He started for the TSV Friedberg- Fauerbach, the LG Ovag Friedberg- Fauerbach and TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen. He graduated from the University of Frankfurt a Business Administration Bachelor's degree and then began a master's degree sports management at the DSHS Cologne.
