Tim Matthys

Tim Matthys (born 23 December 1983) is a Belgian football player.

Career

Matthys began his career at KSV Zottegem and in 2004 moved to first division club KAA Gent. Since 2010 he plays for RAEC Mons.

2006 won Matthys with SV Zulte Waregem the Belgian Cup, where he scored two goals in the final. In the following season 2006/ 07 he played with Waregem in the UEFA Cup.

In group match of the European Cup at the Austrian club Austria Wien he scored three goals. Legendary was his subsequent interview, " In the morning I sell shoes, in the afternoon I train ", earning him the nickname " Al Bundy " earned in Austria. Overall, he scored 2006/ 07 UEFA Cup six gates.
