Timo Rost
Timo Rost ( born August 29, 1978 in Lauf an der Pegnitz ) is a former German football player.
Career
Timo Rost learned to play football at SC Happurg and at the 1 FC Amberg. In 1992 he moved to the youth of the 1st FC Nuremberg, where he matured into a youth international. With the DFB 1994 he became third at the U-16 Football Championship and 1995 took part in the U -17 World Cup. He was captain of the U-15, U-16 and U-17 national team. Already with 18 years of rust played in the first team of the club, which was the 1996/97 Master of the Regionalliga Süd. On December 14, 1997, he celebrated his professional debut for the Franks. In the second league match against Energie Cottbus, the then 19 -year-old came on in the 86th minute. Overall, he played nine times this season for the club, where he ran aground three times from the start and climb with Nuremberg in the Bundesliga. In 1998, he transferred to VfB Stuttgart. He played 16 first division matches, as well as a UEFA Cup game for the Swabians, scoring one goal.
From 2000 to the end of 2001, he gained international experience at the Austrian Erstligaclub Austria Wien. In the 2006/07 season, he completed 31 of 34 possible first league games, scoring one goal. In the current season, he was named coach Petrik Sander to the captain of the team. Even under Bojan Prasnikar was Timo Rost captain and absolute top performer. In 2009, he got off with Cottbus. On 9 December 2009, the 31 -year-old and Energie Cottbus agreed by consensus at an early resolution of the ending in summer 2010 contract. In January 2010, Rost moved to Oberliga side RB Leipzig and reached the club to promotion to the Regionalliga Nord. In the 2010/11 season he missed with the Leipzig group than in fourth the targeted walkover in the 3rd Football League. After he missed it again in the 2011/12 season, he finished his career.
On 1 July 2013 Timo Rost took over as coach at Bayern division club FC Amberg, for its predecessor club, he was playing as a teenager. The club he initially remained as a player-coach obtained in February 2014, he received his coaching A license.
