Timo Rost

Timo Rost ( born August 29, 1978 in Lauf an der Pegnitz ) is a former German football player.

Career

Timo Rost learned to play football at SC Happurg and at the 1 FC Amberg. In 1992 he moved to the youth of the 1st FC Nuremberg, where he matured into a youth international. With the DFB 1994 he became third at the U-16 Football Championship and 1995 took part in the U -17 World Cup. He was captain of the U-15, U-16 and U-17 national team. Already with 18 years of rust played in the first team of the club, which was the 1996/97 Master of the Regionalliga Süd. On December 14, 1997, he celebrated his professional debut for the Franks. In the second league match against Energie Cottbus, the then 19 -year-old came on in the 86th minute. Overall, he played nine times this season for the club, where he ran aground three times from the start and climb with Nuremberg in the Bundesliga. In 1998, he transferred to VfB Stuttgart. On 1 July 2013 Timo Rost took over as coach at Bayern division club FC Amberg, for its predecessor club, he was playing as a teenager. The club he initially remained as a player-coach obtained in February 2014, he received his coaching A license.
