Timothy Joseph Lyne

Timothy Joseph Lyne ( born March 21, 1919 in Chicago, † September 25, 2013 ibid ) was auxiliary bishop in Chicago.

Life

Timothy Joseph Lyne, child of Irish immigrants, Quigley Preparatory Seminary entered the one in Chicago and studied philosophy and theology and history at the theological seminary of the University of Saint Mary of the Lake in Mundelein. He was ordained in Chicago on May 1, 1943 priests. On 31 October 1983 he was appointed by Pope John Paul II appointed auxiliary bishop in Chicago and titular bishop of Vamalla. The archbishop of Chicago, Joseph Louis Cardinal Bernardin, consecrated him on 13 December of the same year the bishop; Co-consecrators were Alfred Leo Abramowicz, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago, and William Hayes Nevin O. Carm, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago.

On January 24, 1995 Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
