Tina Keeper

Tina Keeper OM ( born March 20, 1962 in Norway House, Manitoba, Canada as Christina Keeper ) is a Canadian actress and former member of the Canadian House of Commons.

In the Canadian television series The Mounties of Lynx River, she starred in the years 1992 to 1997 in all 90 episodes starring Michelle Kenidi. For this role she was awarded in 1997 with the Gemini Award. In 1994, she played the lead role of Rhonda Gordon in the short film For Angela. The short film was 1994 awards including the Canada Award.

On 15 July 2002, she was awarded the Order of Manitoba. Keeper is a member of the Norway House Cree Nation. In January 2006 she was elected as a candidate of the Liberal Party of Canada to the Canadian House of Commons elections as member of the Canadian House of Commons. The Canadian General Election of 2008, she lost the candidacy for re-election.

She is the mother of two sons .. Keeper is the great niece of the cross-country skier Joe Keeper.
