The Tirso flows through the reservoir Lago Gusana

It rises as Riu de su Campo north of Bitti, in the province of Nuoro on the east side of the island, which flows through the reservoir Lago Omodeo and ends on the west side of the island near Oristano. On the middle course he is spanned the place Illorai from Ponte Ezzu, an ancient Roman bridge. It is 150 km long and navigable only in the last kilometers. The fertile plain north of Oristano, through which it flows, is called Tirso level.
