Tito García

Tito García (actually Pablo García González, born August 17, 1931 in Salamanca; † 6 May 2003 in Madrid) was a Spanish actor.

Life

García began his career as a bullfighter in Gijon; after six years, he gave up this profession and moved to Madrid, where he made his debut as an actor in Pelusa. Until his death, he played nearly 140 roles in film and television; while he was mostly as a character actor in villainous or comedic parts, often cast as Mexican characters, for which he was predestined by its size and harsh facial features. He belonged to one of the busiest performers during the heyday of the spaghetti westerns, of which he turned about 40. In the 1970s and the following decade he was best known for his involvement in television series such as Cuéntame, Periodistas, Médico de familia, Turno de oficio and Los ladrones van a la oficina.

Sometimes García was listed as Paul Stewart or Bob Garcy.
