Tivat Airport ( Aerodrome Tivat ) is after the Podgorica Airport is the second largest international airport in Montenegro. It is located 4 km south of Tivat in the Bay of Kotor.
History
The airport was opened in 1971 and is used by its location to the more touristy visited northern Adriatic coast of Montenegro Kotor and Budva with the cities mainly in the summer months of charter airlines.
The airport is equipped with the PAPI system that allows night landings.
Airlines and destinations
All year round connecting Montenegro Airlines and Air Serbia with Belgrade Airport. Furthermore, the airport is served by many charter airlines. These are mainly used by tour operators from the CIS countries, but also more and more chartered by Western European travel companies.
