Toby Stephens

Toby Stephens (born 21 April 1969, London ) is a British theater and film and television actor.

Family

Stephens is the son of actor couple Maggie Smith and Robert Stephens. His brother Chris Larkin is also an actor and his stepmother is the actress Patricia Quinn. Since 2001 he is married to actress Anna -Louise Plowman. Their son was born in 2007. 2009 and 2011, the two daughters were born.

Career

Stephens was trained as an actor at " Aldro and Seaford College " and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art ( LAMDA ). His film career began with the role of Othello in the filming of Orlando in 1992. His debut at the theater he had also delivered in 1992 at the West End Theatre as Damis in Tartuffe Moliere. He has played at the London Palladium, the Old Vic Theatre, and was at times a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. At the Royal National Theatre, he played in the play Danton Danton's Death by Georg Büchner. He also starred in numerous television and radio productions of the BBC and other channels.

He became world famous through the role of Gustav Graves in the James Bond film Die Another Day. In 2002, he was seen in the historical film Napoleon. In 2004 he played the role of Hamlet in the RSC production, 2009, the male lead in Zinni Harris's adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's home in the Donmar Warehouse alongside Gillian Anderson.
