Toine Manders (politician, 1956)

Antonius Jozef Maria ( Toine ) Manders ( born March 14, 1956 in Stiphout ) is a Dutch politician ( VVD).

Life

Manders studied industrial design in Tilburg and law in Maastricht and then worked as a lecturer and lawyer. In 1994 he was elected to the municipal council of buttons and a year later in the provincial council of Noord- Brabant. He held until 1999, the two offices. Since then Manders belongs to the European Parliament. Here he wrote reports on a directive on environmental liability as well as the prevention and remedying of environmental damage according to the " polluter pays" principle.
