Tolata, Cochabamba

Tolata is a country town in the Cochabamba Department in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.

Tolata is the central place of the district ( bolivian: municipality ) in the province of Germán Jordán Tolata on the 490 km ² large fertile plateau of the Valle Alto. The village lies at an altitude of 2711 m, 14 km east of the dam, the Laguna La Angostura, the largest artificial lake in Bolivia. Right on the outskirts of Tolata the foothills of the Cordillera Cochabamba rise up to 3,600 m.

Geography

Tolata is located in the transition zone between the Andes mountain range, the Cordillera Central and the Bolivian lowlands.
